Care Guide: How to Care for Your Vegan Cactus Leather Sneaker

The Re-Run Cactus is made from (you guessed it) cactus. The cactus “leather” is developed by Desserto, a highly sustainable plant-based material that serves as an alternative to leather. The aim is to offer cruelty-free, sustainable alternatives to leather that are free from toxic chemicals, phthalates, and PVC. The result, Desserto®, the cactus material, is partially biodegradable, and is now featured on our popular Re-Run silhouette. Because cactus leather is as unique as it is eco-friendly, it needs a little extra love to stay fresh.

Cleaning:

Heavily Soiled Items: For more stubborn dirt, dilute a mild liquid shampoo and follow up with a clean, damp cloth to remove any residue, then dry with a clean, dry cloth.
