The Open Era

The Mercer Open Era Green is our premium made-in-Portugal silhouette. We are inspired by the years in tennis following 1968 called ‘The Open Era’. This is because the Grand Slam tournaments agreed to allow professional players to compete alongside amateurs. Hence the events were ‘open’ to all players. That spirit lives on in this minimalist design. Similarly the silhoutte features an ‘open’ lacing system inspired by true tennis heritage.

We crafted this season’s version Mercer Open Era Green from 100% premium leather in a deep green tone, offering an ultra-soft feel and a refined finish that wears in beautifully. We designed this for those who appreciate timeless design and quiet detail.
